China at Barcelona Summit

The China at Barcelona Summit is the first event that focuses on China Foreign Investments in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean Area, exposing as well why Spain, in general, and Barcelona, in particular, is the best option to localize Chinese firms’ investments in the area.

It will be held in Barcelona, from the 19th to the 21st of October.

The Summit, co-organized by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Caixabank, Mazars, Casa Asia and ESADE, has as well the support of the Barcelona City Council, Invest in Catalonia, INVEST IN SPAIN, Port of Barcelona and the IEMed.

During the China at Barcelona Summit, Chinese firms with plans of expanding in the area and related institutions will be introduced to the key aspects around direct investments in the Euro Mediterranean Area (EMA), exposing as well the assets and differentiating reasons that make Spain and, specifically, Barcelona the best landing platform to base investments in the area. The event will promote also contacts with local administration and local business, in relation with the potential investment project of the visiting Chinese firms.

The event is prepared to welcome especially private, medium sized companies from any sector, but with a special focus in activities like logistics/port related activities, ICT, clean energy, biotechnology, chemical industry, pharma and lifestyle (design, fashion, hotel & tourism).
