PR Newswire opens office in Finland

The American company PR Newswire, a global leader in news and information distribution services for professional communicators, has opened an office in Finland. Kaarle Salonen has been appointed to head PR Newswire's operations in Finland.

According to Salonen, PR Newswire is offering a communications channel for Finnish companies involved in international trade. The company also carries out larger projects for planning marketing communications on a turnkey basis. Services are also available for communications and media agencies.

In addition to the United States, PR Newswire now has 15 country offices around the world. The company previously served its Finnish customers from its Swedish office. PR Newswire currently has 10 employees in the Nordic countries, which it aims to double annually. In countries where PR Newswire does not have offices, it has established strategic alliances with major wire affiliates for targeting its clients' news to the precise audience.
