Leading German fashion retailer has selected the Willa shopping centre in Hyvinkää for its entry to the Finnish market.
The German company New Yorker, one of Europe’s largest fashion businesses, is entering the Finnish market this year. New Yorker’s first, 850 square metre store will be located in the new extension of the Willa shopping centre in Hyvinkää, southern Finland, which is opening on 18 October 2012.
New Yorker offers a range of fashion, jeans, sportswear, and street wear collections, as well as accessories and underwear. According to the company, the mainstay of its range is Young Fashion, jeans, sportswear and streetwear fashions for a young, trend-conscious target group – supplemented by a wide range of accessories and underwear. New Yorker was founded in 1971 and now has 931 stores in 32 countries,
“We are especially happy that a major international actor like New Yorker has a strong belief in the store location and has decided to start establishing its Finnish operations in Willa,” says Juhani Erke, Investment Director at CapMan Real Estate, which jointly owns Willa’s new extension with Finesco Investo.
The Swedish sports clothing and equipment retailer Stadium is also opening a store in Willa. With the opening of the new extension, Willa will have more than 100 stores.
