According to the Financial Times comparison of management programs, Aalto’s EMBA performed especially well in terms of its participants’ career progress.
The Executive MBA program run by Aalto University’s School of Economics is ranked as the best in the Nordic countries in the annual comparison of management programs conducted by the Financial Times.
Aalto University’s EMBA is ranked 53rd globally, improving its ranking by nine places from last year. Aalto University’s EMBA performed particularly well relating to the participants’ career progress and the diversity of the program contents, participants and professors. Gender equality was also emphasized in the ranking.
“The result of the ranking indicates that our EMBA programs both in Europe and Asia encourage women to enter international executive careers. We have a considerable number of female executives in our programs and the share of female professors in our programs is above the average,” says Dr Minna Hiillos, Head and Associate Dean of Degree Programs, Aalto EE.
Aalto EE’s carefully built position as the bridge between East and West is now beginning to bear fruit. We are humbly proud of our success in this prestigious ranking with our global Aalto Executive MBA Program which is currently offered in Finland, Poland, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Next year we will launch operations in Indonesia and build foundations for entry to Malaysia,” says Dr Pekka Mattila, Group Managing Director, Aalto EE and Visiting Professor, Aalto University School of Economics.
In 2011 Aalto EE has also relaunched its operations in Mainland China. "The advancement is also thanks to the new Aalto model. True multidisciplinary thinking, international presence and the mere scale of Aalto’s operations are indisputable assets for us,” says Dr Mattila. Established in 2010, the Aalto University was created from the merger of three Finnish universities: Helsinki School of Economics, Helsinki University of Technology and The University of Art and Design Helsinki.
